Mavengity's Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence

How and where our editorial process uses AI tools, and where we draw the line.

Our core principle

Every article published on Mavengity is written by the named author on its byline. AI tools are not used to draft, generate, or substitute for that writing. If a byline appears on a Mavengity article, the person named wrote it.

How we use AI

Our editorial process uses AI tools in two limited, supporting roles:

  • Research assistance. AI tools help our authors gather, summarize, and cross-reference source material, such as regulatory filings, court records, clinical studies, company disclosures, and public data, before writing begins.
  • Spell-checking and proofreading. AI-assisted spelling and grammar tools are used during editing, the same way a human copy editor would be, to catch typos and formatting errors.

In both cases, AI functions as a tool the author uses, not as a substitute for the author. The research, judgment, structure, and every sentence of the finished article are the author's own work: the writing itself is custom, not AI-generated.

AI assistance is not applied equally across every author or every article. Marko, in particular, uses AI more extensively than Mavengity's other authors when writing B2B Research pieces. Marko is not a native English speaker, and AI help is used to structure sentences so they read more clearly and naturally. B2B Research articles are also long and technically dense, so AI is used to help research the underlying material before writing begins. Once a draft is written, AI is used to proofread it and restructure phrasing so the finished piece reads naturally. This is the same kind of research and proofreading support described above, applied more heavily given the length of these pieces and the language consideration involved. As with all AI-assisted editorial work at Mavengity, this uses Claude exclusively; no other AI model is used.

AI in our website and publishing infrastructure

Beyond editorial support, AI is used extensively to build and run Mavengity itself: the site's structure, page templates, front-end code, tracking script implementation, and the automated systems that take a finished article draft and turn it into a published page, including category listings, related-article grids, and sitemap updates.

This is a core part of how Mavengity operates. None of Mavengity's authors are developers, and none have extensive technical or coding knowledge. Without AI assistance, running a website like this, and the systems behind it, would not be realistic for the team. AI is what makes it possible for our authors, who otherwise publish in other mediums, to also run and maintain an independent website of their own. For this work, Mavengity uses Claude exclusively; no other AI model or provider is used for these tasks.

What AI does not do

AI tools are not used to draft article text, generate quotes or sources, or make editorial judgments about what a story means or how it should be framed. We do not publish AI-generated writing under a human byline.

Disclosure

If our use of AI in a given article ever goes beyond the research and spell-checking support described above, we will disclose that directly in the article. Questions about this policy, or about how a specific article was produced, can be sent through Contact Us.
